Alright. I'll address the thing I found again. I had a thought and decided to take it to the police, just in case my neighbors are into overly elaborate, complicated, and easily discovered, drug running. They tore the package a bit and said it was a book and gave it back to me. I asked if they wanted to keep it as possible evidence for something else but they said they didn't have the time for every random thing brought in. They must think I'm staging this. Fine. Be that way.
It's still wrapped up for the most part, they only ripped a little bit on the back to check. I put it back in the plastic bag and threw it back into my closet. I don't feel like getting driven insane by the crazy writings in a little leather bound journal.
In other news I'm starting to feel a bit under the weather. It feels like a regular cold though so I should be fine by next post. My parents are in the medical field so they always take really good care of me whenever I get sick. No horrible bouts of coughing thankfully. Just a runny nose and general lethargic-ness.
I wrote a bit more. I'm up to 93 pages on the journal. I suppose I should go into secondary characters now. I think I'll stick with 2 a week to pad this out until I have plot things to talk about.
Our young lead is Leon, an Angel who is a fairly normal, cheerful, happy go lucky guy. His family is a little messed up but he's got amnesia related to a specific event. He doesn't get all emo about it though. Most Militaristic based angels have pretty tough lives. They just get used to that sort of thing. He was paired with Zero due to Zero having worked with his father before he died. Also expect a lot of Angel characters to have dead parents, if any at all. They're sent to war a lot and they die a lot, it just happens. Leon uses mostly holy and ice for his spells and special attacks and wields a traditional 1 handed sword. And yes I have worked this all out.
A female Angel that's mentioned a lot but isn't actually IN the books is Seight. She is Zero's lover and her death triggers Zero's involvement in the plot (As well as Leon's and any angels Zero brings with him I guess). She was also an Ancient One but by birth instead of creation. Her parents were both Ancient Ones, Zero once again having been with her father when he was killed by the Origin. They found out her mother died about a week later, same fate. Seight isn't terribly younger than Zero is but it takes her a bit to get over these deaths. Thankfully they all happen several thousand years before the story actually picks up. Most Ancient Ones use all elements for spells and such, Seight being no different. She's more of a spellcaster but she was strong enough to get by if things got close combat-y.
That's it for this week. I may start updating Wednesdays and Saturdays. What do you guys think of that? ... I mean Grim... What do you think of that... I've gone and made myself depressed.

Mini update
I found a thing. Buried under that tree that fell over a few weeks ago. I didn't see anything earlier but I'd never inspected it as closely as I did today. Plastic bag not included. I don't think it's been there long but I don't feel like letting loose a bunch of tiny insects into my house. It's wrapped heavily in tape and what appears to be the kind of tissue paper you wrap your fine china in to keep them from breaking. That said, unless it's already broken it's pretty damn light, and flexible along the horizontal axis of the picture. Not sure what to make of it. It. It doesn't seem to have been there long. At most it's been buried for maybe 2 days. Any longer and it would have been wet from the constant rain.
I'm not opening it. I've already broken the "Don't go in the woods" rule. Woods surround my house, I have to walk a good half of a mile through the woods to get to my mailbox.
If it's a tape, I'm not watching it. No seven days bullshit, no visual tearing, no nothing.
The thing is currently resting in the very back of my closet.

Characters
So, things are finally, really and truly back to normal. Other than that one Canada Goose incident nothing has happened all week. I suppose that needs an explanation. I might have mentioned that our house gets mobbed by Canada Geese, most of them have already moved on but there's still about 20 that visit the house. Wednesday I found one torn apart. We have foxes and Racoons and such around here, I wouldn't put it too far out of the realm of possibility that there's nothing other than predation to this. The stories of animal mutilations from several bloggers made me note it though. Although my paranoia has faded significantly. Mainly because I've stopped reading other blogs, about Construct and Marble hornets comes out with a part maybe once in a blue moon.
Although I have taken to filming myself with my Cellphone camera. I've got one of those fancy iPhone things so the quality is ok. I only film when shit gets crazy and there's nothing remarkable on the footage.
I'm falling back into some ruts I was trying to avoid though. My blood pressure has gone back to being low so I'm getting dizzy often for no reason. The really bad ones are followed by minor seizures but that's nothing out of the ordinary. For me anyway. I've been dealing with this problem for years, I just have a few allergies that make it tougher for me to keep in good health. But I manage. Other than the new part where I'm starting to get winded quicker, but I attribute that to my lack of activity since the quarter ended and I decided to take summer off. I just need to start jogging again, that'll clear up.
Anyway My characters. I've been dancing around actually telling their names because they seem kind of... Narcissistic? The Mentor character I've been talking about is named Zero. "But wait, Your nickname is Nihil, Your email address has Zero in it. Have you modeled this guy after you?" No. I use the name Zero because of that character, not the other way around. I came up with him a long ass time ago. Most of the stoic master type characters have always been this guy and when I finally decided to stop and write everything down, he of course had to be in it.
Zero is an Ancient One, the oldest of Angels, one of the originals created to fight... The Origin, My villain. As the name implies He's The Origin of all things, the first lifeform. He and the universe were born at the same time and all life came from him. "But. This is the villain. What gives?" He kind of went insane. If you couldn't sleep and were completely immortal, you'd probably go insane too. Especially if you have the thoughts of all living things flowing through you as an incomprehensible wailing. Plus as he built civilizations (That would be the Gods) they tended to not like the idea that he could kill them all if he felt like it. Eventually they started rebelling against him, trying to preserve their civilization by attacking the most powerful being in the universe. You can imagine how well that went.
There was one god that the Origin had made to be ALMOST as strong as he was. As a constant companion. This god led the movement to destroy the Origin, since he knew how batshit the Origin really was getting. This God was the one that was able to create powerful angels able to hold their own against the Origin. But the Origin is still the Origin so all attempts to destroy him completely have failed. He's been beaten, but can never die. Unless you do his job for him and destroy the universe, which kind of beats the purpose of fighting him in the first place.
I'll go into more detail if you want but you've got my main Protagonist and my main Antagonist now. I'll talk of side characters and other leads later on.

Calming Down
I'm getting a late start on this one. A few things happened, and if I was able to I would have posted them as they happened. When we got back from Atlanta and opened the doors to our house we noticed that the A/C was out. Fine. Georgia heat made us get a hotel but when we went to check on the A/C units. Both of them were fried. Completely unresponsive, had to have someone come in and replace a few parts. They think the units both got hit by lightning. Sure. I live on a lake. Lightning happens. Not quite sure why it struck the fairly grounded A/C units but whatever. The A/C units are by my far window. Hm. What's really tall that I know that could be stalking me without me noticing? I wonder if Lightning strikes even slow the bastard down?
Also. Our dock was torn up. To shreds. Granted it was a pile of crap but that kind of damage doesn't inflict itself unless there's some kind of river whale that I'm not aware of. We've got someone fixing it, making it nicer than it was but that was crazy to say the least. Anyway I talked Dad into letting me come with him to drop my cousins off at their home in Florida because we haven't had enough driving to do. That went off well, normal stuff and all that, nothing out of the ordinary chased us. There was some rain out of no where but it's Florida, that comes with the turf.
Anyway I've been resting from all the bloody driving. My spine is not built for that kind of activity. We had a nice little fourth of July celebration. Went out on the town. They shot fireworks off by where we live yesterday, which was cool until hour 3 when I wanted to go to sleep. I didn't personally get to set any fireworks off but that's probably for the best given my pyromania and what happened...
Regardless, This is coming in much later than normal. But thankfully things have settled down. I'm planning on going into town and getting that book everyone keeps telling me about. House of Leaves I think. I had gotten one called Zombie Apocalypse by Stephen Jones. It was a good read. Gonna try to keep myself from reviewing everything I ever do in this blog.
On a Trilogy related note, I've started back up on the Journal again. I had writer's block something fierce but I've managed to shake it off for the most part. I wasn't sure how to have the mentor react to the death of a character. In the book I just had him slink off and be out of focus but I can't do that in a journal written by him. In the end I think it worked out ok. I just had to settle with writing shorter entries. I'm up to Entry 18 now, almost 100 pages in. Pretty sure there will be something around 30 Entries in total, maybe a bit more. At least, 30 Entries for the events of the first book.
Maybe I should start naming these characters for you guys. There's always next Friday, er... This Friday.
